HDFS Program Launches Study Abroad Program in Valencia for Summer 2022

Valencia study abroad program brochure featuring palm trees in SpainThe Department of Human Development and Family Science invites students to gain a unique perspective and make unforgettable memories while studying abroad in Valencia, Spain. Taking Family Science Abroad is the newly created study abroad program, which offers students a chance to learn about family life and Spanish culture in beautiful Valencia. The program takes place in summer 2022 from June 20 until July 30.
During the program, students will visit important cultural sites, as well as travel to daycares and schools to get a better understanding about what life is like for Spanish families, providing a unique perspective on how family dynamics differ across cultures. In classrooms, students will learn more about family and child science from guest speakers and hands-on activities.
Students interested in the program must have successfully completed or be enrolled in CHD 2220, FAD 2230, CHD 3243, and FAD 3343 with a B- or better at the time of application.
