Interests

I am interested in examining the role of nutrition as more than just a means to support one’s life. The father of medicine, Hippocrates, said, “Let food be they medicine and medicine be thy food.” Therefore, I study the role of functional foods, bioactive compounds, and nutraceuticals in prevention and treatment of chronic diseases and conditions, such as osteoporosis, cardiovascular health, and osteoarthritis, in vitro,in vivo, and in clinical trials.
