The Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Leadership and Social Change established the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Distinguished Service Award in 1986 to honor a faculty member, administrator or staff member for their outstanding service in keeping with the principles and ideals of Dr. King. This year our very own Professor and Dean for Academic Affairs Dr. Gregory Harris took the honor. Dr. Harris was recognized during the 2021 MLK Commemoration Celebration on January 19th which featured guest speaker Barbara Reynolds, award-winning journalist and author.
