Nutrition and Food Science Ph.D. candidate Alan Dawson received the Herbalife Nutrition Scholarship from the American Society for Nutrition, which is awarded to “a promising student seeking an advanced degree in nutrition or related field.”

Dawson’s research focuses on investigating the relationship between gastrointestinal energy absorption efficiency and weight status in females. The Herbalife Nutrition Scholarship awards $5,000 to help support his research efforts. In addition to the scholarship, Dawson will receive recognition at the Nutrition 2021 Live Online as well as complimentary registration to the meeting.
