Human Development & Family Science
  • Programs emphasize the health and development of children and families through education, research and service to the community.
  • Professional opportunities in this field have increased due to new opportunities that have arisen as a result of the national focus on the welfare of families and children.
  • The doctoral program in Marriage and Family Therapy is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education.
  • Students may complete requirements to become a certified Family Life Educator, sponsored by the National Council on Family Relations (NFCR).
Nutrition & Integrative Physiology
  • Programs contribute to the prevention of chronic disease through the conduct of applied and basic research and through strong teaching programs.
  • Professional opportunities in nutrition, food and exercise sciences have increased due to the national interest in healthy living.
  • The Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) and the Dietetic Internship are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE).
  • The Athletic Training Program prepares students for advanced degrees in Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant, Athletic Training or Medicine.
