College of Health and Human Sciences Announces Administrative Changes

The department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology announced that Dr. Chester “Chet” Ray, professor in NIP, was named the associate dean of research and graduate studies. Previously, Ray served as the interim associate dean of research and graduate studies.
“It is clear that research and graduate student education and enrollment will become increasingly more important, including decisions where new faculty positions and resources will be allocated” said Dean Michael Delp. “I am truly grateful that Chet has agreed to take this position and give it the full attention needed to support CHHS graduate students and research.”
Additionally, Dr. Lisa Griffiths, teaching faculty in the department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology, was named the interim department chair for NIP. Griffiths recently won a 2021-2022 University Teaching Award. She is expected to hold the position of interim chair until a full chair search can be conducted.
