Sarah Johnson (Ph.D., ’13) was awarded the 2018 Abbott Nutrition Award in Women’s Health by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. It is presented each year to a dietetics professional who makes significant contributions towards understanding the importance of nutrition in women’s health. Sarah will be recognized during the Academy’s Food & Nutrition Conference / Expo in Washington D.C. on October 22.
Several graduates of the Dietetics Internship Program are working with professional sports teams.

Graduate student Kyle Smith is interning with the San Francisco 49ers. Kyle will graduate this summer with his M.S. in Sports Nutrition. (He is even featured in the team’s recent promo clip!)

Jamie Vespa (’12) is an Assistant Editor for the popular food magazine Cooking Light, and also runs her very successful health blog Dishing Out Health. Watch Jamie host Cooking Light’s new show on Facebook: The New Healthy
